Small Business Representation Services

Currently M3 Government Services is working to re-introduce legislation to raise the amount of government set a side limits.

In 1953 congress passed legislation to allow small business to participate in federal contracting and this has been a very successful program for small business but it is now time to allow small business a greater piece of this opportunity.

It is the belief of M3 Government Services that the small business set a side should be raised to 30 percent from the current 23 percent. Additionally we believe all socio-economic categories should have their percentages raised.

During the 115th Congress’s 1st session, Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) along with Senator Ronald Lee Wyden (D-OR) introduced Bill S.1061 To assure equity in contracting between the Federal Government and small business concerns. On May 4th, 2017 the bill was referred to the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Committee Chair Marco Rubio (R-FL) the Bill never made it out of this Committee.

M3 Government Services lead by Robert Tijerina (President) has been the driving force to get this Bill amended and re-introduced to the floor then back to the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Mr. Tijerina when asked about this effort responded:

I believe the time has come for the Federal Government to re-examine the contributions of small business government contractors in this country. I find it troubling that Senator Udall’s bill did not even receive a vote. I can’t think of a Bill more deserving of Bi-Partisan attention to help the American People.

Every politician panders to small business on the campaign trail and this Bill has the potential to make a huge difference for the biggest driver of jobs in this country. I will stay focused on this endeavor until Washington passes meaningful legislation. Yes, I understand that big business has a vested interest in keeping this Bill from ever making it to the floor for a vote. This is a fight worth fighting for.

M3 Government Services has taken on this task and has funded all the efforts so far.  We will eventually have to ask for financial support from the Small Business Community. I personally thank all the Business owners across the country that have given us their support so far as well as all the associations that have asked how they can get involved.
